Sorry guys/gals, I don't have an integra, but this is, by far, the most informative site on the web regarding JRSC for Honda motors. Anyhow, I've got a 99 Si w/ stock 6psi jackson kit, JR BTC, JR MAP Cntrl, Wlbr HF, JR Oil Clr, NGK7's, and basic bolt-ons.
I'm seriously considering the Endyn stepper pulley for the alt., but I want to know if I'll need new injectors (310's, or higher)...right now I'm running stock injectors. Also, I think I may have a boost leak...boost gauge reads max 5.5psi from 4.5-6k rpm and then drops back to ~4.5psi approaching redline. All of my vac lines are secure...could it be my SC/manifold gasket? Also, when I get on it, I almost hear a "sqoooooshhhhing" sound, different from the intake or SC sounds; almost as if there is some air escaping. Does this make any sense, or is it supposed to sound like that? (I just installed the kit on my car 2 weeks ago). Thanks in advance.

310 cc injectors are the max a stock ECU can drive, should be good for 9 PSI.
Jim (JRCivic) also offers a stepper pulley that works well, others have had issues with the Endyn fitment (not me, but others). Also it pays to support active members like him who are an asset to the board.
That whooshing sound youre hearing is belt slippage, as indicated by your boost gauge

Cheers Avenger! Is it possible that my SC belt is not tensioned enough? I did not have a belt tensioner at hand when I did the installation, but I followed, to the best of my ability to contort my limbs and vision, the deflection measurement technique. The instructions mentioned that the SC belt did not have to be very tight whatsoever, as it is a shorter belt, blah, blah, blah... Hmmm...maybe if I adjust the idler pulley a bit I'll see if the boost pushes up to 6psi+ reading...Anyhow, thanks for the insight!
When you say "Jim" (JRCivic)...is he the same as "Jim Helbing" with the Walbro pumps?!? If so, he's a great guy to work with!
Either way, JRCivic, can you email me regarding the pulleys you have?? Thanks!

How many miles do yo have on your blower? It might be time to change out the belts. They usually last for about 15-20 thousand miles.
As for your blower belt tension. That sucker does need to be tight, but not really tight, just enough so you can push against it fairly hard with a screwdriver or something and deflect about 3/8 of an inch or so.

Since the blower belt is so short, it will flex MUCH less than the other belts at the same tension.

I have a type R and I believe it's the same as the si kit. Wow, 6psi? I only read 4.5psi. It actually dropped from the winter, back then it was 5lbs. People said it was the humidity and the weather change. It would be have 6lbs of boost.

Don't overlook the crank to alternator belt tension... many people who experience low boost pressures feel that a belt is slipping and immediately assume that it is the blower belt... when in fact as Holden has stated, this belt is far smaller than the crank to alternator belt and will actually require LESS tension to function properly.
As for the stepper pulley: I keep them in stock. The price is $149.00 plus shipping for the pulley alone and $169.00 plus shipping for the pulley with the proper drive belt.
Yes, I am the same guy with the Walbro fuel pumps.

Tightened up the SC belt a little bit last night...this morning on the way to work, after letting the car warm up a little while, I punched it in 3rd (40-65mph), boost gauge read ~7.5psi!! Kudos to those who responded!
As for the belt...it only has like 1200 miles on it.
Jim, I shot you an email.
Anyone on here support Zip's new SMP (Super MAP Controller)?? Heard it is supposed to be pretty damn close to standalone but still piggyback.
